Life is truly satisfying when one is “doing what one loves to do”, for me, it is to express myself through my paintings. Having had the opportunity to work in theatre, designing sets, lighting and costumes, allowed me to experiment with the many vantage points of artistic expression. In addition, having lived in several countries including; Chile, Argentina, Brazil, Central America as well as France and England, gave me the opportunity to learn and experience other cultures. It is through this experience that I am inspired to represent on canvas what has touched me, in my being.
In addition, I have always been fascinated by the transformation that occurs on a person, place or object by the mere effect of light. To achieve this I utilize a wide array of reflective paints and mixed media. When completed, my art works are a true expression of both my past experiences and future visions. Each painting becomes a new set design complete with costumes, lighting and a new story to tell.
